WEIGHING UP THE UNWORTHY IS WORTHY OF UNUSUAL WORDS

As a journalist, nothing about  FOX “News” inclines me to be anything but profanely disparaging of their ultracrepridarian lawsuit defence of commitment to “the highest journalistic standards.” In an effort to comment and still maintain decorum, I sought afflatus (not what sprang to your mind) from a delightful work called “Foyle’s Philavery”. (There’s a glossary at the end of this.)

To grant FOX even a modicum of axiopisty  is to become unasinous with murcid anchors and pundits suffering from sophomania.
The abject eagerness of Tucker Carlson to be a  myrmidian for Donald Trump’s absumption of democratic values and the rule of law for the lucripetous sake of fame and ratings shows him to be a brimborion.
That puts him even lower on the journalistic evolutionary scale than the FOX talk show fopdoodles polluting the airwaves with galamatias.
The great pity of the Dominion lawsuit was that it ended up being about money, which saved FOX’s stars from the public spectacle of an apology for allowing stercoraceous  beings like Marjorie Taylor Greene and her ilk to be consistently mendaciloquent without even a nod to  the basics of journalism in the form of a follow-up question or two.
That all of them have ended up committing podiacide seems unlikely to deter them from making it a habit, however.
And what’s the bet that rather than slipping away and trying pogonotrophy to hide what ought to be shame, His Tuckerness manages to turn it into pleionosis?
The tragedy of FOX vs Dominion is that FOX will continue to be the news equivalent of the kakistocracy they will persuade their faithful and acerebral audience to elect.

Herewith a GLOSSARY to expatiate (elaborate) the foregoing philavery (idiosyncratic collection of uncommon and pleasing words):
ultracrepidarian ignorant and presumptuous
afflatusinspiration, especially a divinely inspired creative impulse
axiopistythe quality that makes something worthy of trust
unasinousbeing equal in stupidity
murcid -- cowardly, lazy
sophomaniathe delusion one possess superior intelligence or wisdom
myrmidion thug, faithful servant prepared to be unscrupulous
absumptionwasting away
ucripetousavaricious, grasping
brimboriona thing of no value, nonsense

pogonotrophycultivation of facial hair
pleionosisself-aggrandisement

acerebrallacking in intelligence or intellectual abilities.

I hope that was more fun and informative to read than a rant  about lying cretins who are a disgrace to the word journalism, and who got away with paying money rather than having to admit to lying and thereby maybe, just maybe, losing enough viewers that the next round of elections won’t be dominated by politicians backed by Tucker Carlson and his ilk.
